
Olubukola “Bukky” Olowookorun
Ms Olowookorun is based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and is the founder and managing director of BOA - Bukky Olowookorun Attorneys Inc. She obtained her LLB degree from UPE. After completing her articles she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in South Africa, as a Notary Public and Conveyancer. She was also employed at the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) where she facilitated the accreditation for a law clinic. Ms Olowookorun was elected as a National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL), National Executive Committee (NEC) member after serving as the Chairperson of NADEL Gqeberha for many years, where she was also responsible for the National Gender Desk portfolio.

John Mohoto
Mr Mohoto is based in Limpopo, his qualifications are B.Proc (Unin), LLB (Natal), Advanced Military Law (School of Military Justice), Military Legal Practitioner (Defence Legal Services), Judge of the Military Court, Advocate holding Chambers at Justice Bernard Ngoepe Group, Limpopo Society of Advocates (Limpopo Bar).

Raj Badal
Mr Badal is an admitted attorney, notary and conveyancer. He has been practicing in Verulam, Kwazulu-Natal for over 40 years. He has a passion for legal education and development and is the current chair of the Standing Committee on Legal Education (SCLE) of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA). He has been a past President of the (then) KwaZulu-Natal Law Society and Vice President of the (then) Attorneys Fidelity Fund. He is a current National Executive Member of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL). He runs NADEL workshops to aid candidate attorneys to pass their admission examinations.

Prudence Nokuphiwa "Phiwa" Duma
Ms Duma is a practicing attorney and the director at Duma Attorneys Inc. based in Durban, specialising in commercial law. She obtained her LLB degree from Howard College (KwaZulu-Natal). She is a constituent member of the Black Lawyers Association (BLA). Ms Duma is passionate about youth empowerment through social cohesion and education. Her hobbies are athletics, hiking and sport in general.

Umesh Jivan
Mr Jivan is a director at Jivan & Co Inc, which is based in Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal. He holds a BA and LLB degree and is a practicing Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. He serves as an independent councillor of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA). Mr Jivan was elected as a councillor of the Legal Practice Council (LPC), National, in October 2024 for a 3-year term. He is the Chairman of the KZN Legal Practitioners Association and also served as the President of the KwaZulu Natal Law Society during 2017.

Hanifa Abdulla
Ms Abdulla is the Director of H Abdulla Incorporated, based in Cape Town. She holds a LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and a HDip. (Tax) from UNISA. She was admitted as an attorney in 2013 and as a Conveyancer in 2016. Miss Abdulla runs a general law practice and specializes in Civil Litigation, Administration of Deceased Estates and Conveyancing.

Noxolo Maduba-Silevu
Ms Maduba is the founder and a director of Maduba Attorneys Inc, based in Bloemfontein, Free State. She holds a B. Proc. as well as a Certificate Programme in Leadership Development (CPLD). She was admitted as an attorney in 2000. She is one of the two Councillors’ representing the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) in the SADC Lawyers Association where she is now the Vice President. She served two terms as a Council Member in the Legal Practice Council (LPC) from 2018 until October 2024 where she served as a Chairperson of the Disciplinary Oversight Committee during her first term and a Chairperson of Risk and Compliance during the second term. She is a member of the Judicial Conduct Tribunal (JCT) and also a Trustee of the Women Legal Centre. Ms Maduba previously served as a President of the South African Women Lawyers Association (SAWLA) for two terms until 2017. She is a member of the Black Lawyers Association (BLA) where she served as a National Secretary General from 2017-2019. She is passionate about women’s rights and serves the legal profession unreservedly.

Adv. Elizabeth Baloyi-Mere, SC
Advocate Baloyi-Mere, SC, is based at the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABASA) Loftus, Pretoria. She was a teacher from 1988 to 2008 and together with colleagues formed the North West Teachers Union. She later obtained her LLB degree whilst still teaching. She joined the Pretoria Bar and completed her pupillage in 2009 and started practicing as an advocate. She served on many boards, councils and committees in the law industry, and just to name a few: Advocates for Transformation, Legal Practise Council (LPC) in Magistrates’ Commission and PABASA. She has appeared in the High Courts of eight of the nine provinces of the country. She has also been appointed Acting Judge in the High Courts in both Pretoria and Johannesburg, residing over Road Accident Fund (RAF) trials. She is passionate about empowering junior advocates, especially black females.

Walid Brown
Mr Walid Brown is based in Cape Town and holds a BA English Major, LLB degree and advanced certificates in Insolvency Litigation and Business Rescue. He is the director of Werksmans legal firm. He specialises in dispute resolution, property law, insolvency, business rescue and restructuring. Mr Brown has the following titles under his belt: executive member of the Western Cape branch of the Black Lawyers Association (BLA), former Co-Chairperson of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) and currently a board member of the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund (LPFF).

Chueuekgolo Joseph “CJ” Ntsoane
Mr CJ Ntsoane is based in Limpopo and is the founder and managing director of Ntsoane Attorneys. He holds a B-Tech degree in Marketing Management and an LLB degree. He is an admitted attorney with the right to appear in the High Court. He is currently serving as a board member at the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund (LPFF. A trustee to various trusts and a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
